Project Overview
To enhance the safety and comfort of a newly revitalized residential park, DCI was brought in to provide a custom-engineered noise wall solution. The park, designed specifically for toddlers to 5-year-olds, is situated next to an active industrial site—raising concerns over both noise pollution and safety for families.

Reflective Concrete Panels Guard Revitalized Playground at Richmond Hill Park
DCI collaborated directly with the City in the pre-tender phase, supplying budget estimates and detailed working shop drawings to ensure the project was shovel-ready. Leveraging our integrative design process, we engineered a noise barrier that seamlessly fit the site’s unique dimensions and intersects existing fencing infrastructure. The DCI SBD Reflective Panels were chosen for their performance and aesthetic appeal, providing both a protective acoustic buffer and a secure perimeter for the young community space.
This project not only met technical and safety requirements but also delivered peace of mind to local families, contributing to a more enjoyable and inclusive park experience.
