Project Overview
The I-69 Section 6 Contract 5 project represents a critical upgrade of a key roadway segment to interstate standards, enhancing safety, capacity, and efficiency. The scope included adding lanes, increasing design speed, constructing noise barriers for eligible receptors, and replacing and upgrading a major interstate interchange.
Durisol played a consultative role in this landmark design-build project. Given the massive scope, the contractor opted to design the sound wall system in-house with Durisol’s guidance. Durisol supplied absorptive noise walls for both ground-mounted and structure-mounted applications along the roadway.
