Trackside Sound Absorptive Noise Barriers
Wheel-Rail noise propagation can be abated by a low height wall adjacent to the track. Sound absorptive walls will prevent reflection of the noise onto the hard side of the train car which would reflect noise back to the community, defeating the purpose of installing the wall, close to the rail.
