Sharon Hills Park Benefits from 2.67 km Noise Barrier on Highway 404

Stretching from Green Lane to Farr Avenue, the Durisol absorptive noise barrier was designed specifically to reduce traffic noise for the homes adjacent to the highway. Durisol played a key role in the noise barrier’s design and supply, guiding the project team on the elevations and necessary engineering for the wall’s foundation. A five-metre high ground-mounted wall was deemed necessary to achieve effective noise barrier performance.

The project also features strategically placed access doors along the long stretch of the wall. These access doors are crucial for safety and maintenance purposes, providing essential access for emergency responders, regular inspection, and repair work.
